MyReply was built by attorneys and technologists.
Our team combines the perspective of nationally renowned access-to-justice experts, firsthand experience of practicing eviction defense attorneys, and expertise of cutting-edge AI developers.
Lois is Director of the Legal Innovation Lab at the Community Economic Defense Project and a Professor of Law, Emerita at the University of Maine School of Law. She was a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Melbourne, where she researched technological innovations in access to justice. A graduate of Cornell University and Boston University Law School, she is also an affiliated faculty at the Harvard A2J Lab, chair of the Colorado A2J Commission Technology Committee, and a member of the Chief Justice's Advisory Committee on Technology. She has been designing and building self-help tools for almost twenty years.
Lois R. Lupica
Paul serves as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and New Ventures at CEDP, where he leads the organization's "R&D Lab" to identify, vet, and launch novel economic justice programs. Prior to joining CEDP, Paul held senior leadership roles across Product, Operations, and Finance at Ruggable. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he contributed foundational research to the McKinsey Global Institute’s landmark report on AI and the future of work. He also managed pre-launch strategic planning and budgeting for several civic leadership programs at the Obama Foundation.
Paul Gilson
Charlotte is a housing attorney and Senior Designer in the Legal Innovation Lab at the Community Economic Defense Project, where she designs research-backed tools to promote economic and housing justice. Before entering the legal field, Charlotte worked in management and operations across a variety of industries, including leading large-scale software projects at a technology start-up.
Charlotte Goodenow
Nik is co-founder of YOR.AI, where he designs the architecture behind AI agent systems that help organizations put artificial intelligence to practical use. On MyReply, Nik leads the design of the AI Agents, the components that collect and turn case data into clear, plain-language direction for tenants facing eviction. He works side by side with CEDP attorneys to make sure every rule the system follows traces back to a validated legal decision. His focus is simple: technology that people in crisis can actually understand and act on.
Nikolas Mercado
Peter is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of YOR.AI. He builds and maintains the engineering backbone of MyReply, including the retrieval system that matches each tenant’s situation to attorney-vetted defenses, the secure database that keeps case data consistent across the platform, and the infrastructure connecting it all to the tools tenants use. Peter designed the system to protect privacy at every layer, with no client data ever used for model training. His work makes expert legal knowledge available to thousands of people who would otherwise face court alone.
Peter Mercado
Antonio is a Director of Tenant Legal Services at CED Law. Before joining the law firm in 2022, he practiced law in Nebraska, Alabama, Wyoming, Colorado, and in various federal courts, for twenty-five years. His diverse experience ranges across several practice areas, including real estate transactions and litigation, international mergers and acquisitions, in-house and contract corporate counsel, multi-state insurance compliance, energy law, veterans’ law, commercial transactions and litigation, and general civil practice.
